I grew up on a large plot of land in urban Sydney, eating Italian homemade meals, swimming in our large family pool, dancing and singing to keep the neighbours entertained and taking the occasional horse ride. I was naturally athletic, loved gymnastics and tennis and as I got older threw myself into touch football. I was rarely indoors and in my early twenties, I moved to the Northern Beaches of Sydney where I could sink my feet into the surf and sand and swim for hours in the ocean water. I felt naturally connected to the earth. My first career was in the corporate world until yoga revealed itself on a trip to Bali. With my curiosity stoked, I continued to practice upon my return and eventually trained with Power Living Australia to become a vinyasa yoga teacher. I've had a passion for health from a very young age and a profound respect for all things natural and in 2003, I completed my first Diploma of Nutrition at Nature Care College in Sydney which I then followed up with an Advanced Diploma of Nutritional Medicine in 2015. I love how nutrition and yoga complement one another by honouring the body and with this holistic ideal in mind, went on to complete Level 1 training with Duncan Peak and Keenan Crisp of Power Living, yin yoga training with Sarah Powers of Insight Yoga, meditation and pranayama training with Mark Breadner of Yoga Coach, and Mantras and Chanting training with Janet Stone Yoga. Nothing makes me happier than sharing this passion, this beautiful practice and knowledge with my students and empowering them to find their best self. Seeing my students take steps to improve their lives brings meaning to my life’s work. This is practice.. MOMENTS OF LOVE 💚💙💚
Poetry that lingers in the heart and mind, the sound of soft rainfall like music from the earth, Peats Bite on a warm summers day, walking the dog under a clear night sky, the ringing of a church bell; a reminder of the call to worship, the magnetic pull of a temple, wandering the Old Georgetown Streets of Penang, the Sri Lankan jungle and wild elephants, tapas at Biah Biah, mangoes and fruit farms, exceptionally made biryani at Urban Tadka, the bitter sweetness of dark chocolate, Ugg boots and yoga leggings, freedom, kindness and love of all kinds, the very first moment I laid eyes on my babies, deep and meaningful conversations with my blessed mama, singing chanting and that moment of universal connection, the first “I love you moment”, watching people smile, hand written letters, new journeys and deep breaths
